On Saturday morning I headed over to Fife for some unaffiliated show jumping at Howe, or Dabbs as I still want to cal it. It is a venue I use to compete at when I was younger and lived over in Fife.
I competed Corky there earlier in the year at the Arena Eventing. The main ring is lovely but the warm up was extremely small so I gave it a miss after that. They have now doubled the size of the warm up so it's back on my list of favorite venues.
Lucas behaved extremely well in both the warm up and the main ring. He was nice and rhythmical in the 65cm class taking one pole and then a little wilder (through keenness to go forward) in the 75cm taking 2 poles. I don't think that matters just now though as he is taking me to the jumps, having fun and building confidence.
